NDIS Support Categories

Your level of supports in your plan will be depending on your individual goals.

Core Supports Budget

Your Core Supports Budget helps you with everyday activities to achieve your NDIS goals.

Your Core Supports Budget is one of the most flexible, and in most cases you can use your NDIS funding across any of the following four support categories.

If you are on your mobile or tablet you may have to use the scroll at the bottom of the table.

Other Information

Stated Supports – Not Flexible
Supports listed as stated supports are fixed. This means the funding is allocated for a specific service or item, and cannot be used for anything else. You cannot exchange or swap these supports for other types of supports.

In-Kind Supports – Pre-Paid
Supports listed as in-kind have already been paid for by your state, territory, or the Australian government. When you use an in-kind service, your current provider will deliver the support, and you will not need to pay for it using your NDIS plan funds. If you have concerns about using a particular in-kind provider or service, speak with your ECEI Coordinator, LAC, or NDIA planner.

More details about in-kind supports can be found on the In-Kind Supports – Participants page.

Quote Required
If a support is marked as quote required, additional information such as quotes or specialist reports must be provided before funding can be included in your plan.
